Alpine Avenue
A five-home development of contemporary semi-detached and single-detached residences, each with a self-contained, legal basement suite.
Five homes, one contemporary streetscape.
Alpine Avenue is a ground-up infill development of two semi-detached buildings — 826/828 and 838/840 — and one single-detached residence at 830, the land severed so each of the five homes stands as an independent property.
Every home was designed around a flexible, two-household layout: a generous principal residence above grade, plus a fully self-contained, legal rental suite in the basement with its own kitchen, full bathroom, laundry and separate access — built equally for end-user living and long-term rental income.
My Home Builders led the work from architectural design and municipal approvals through structure, mechanical systems and high-end interior finishing.

Selected interiors & exteriors.

A consistent, high-end palette in every home.
Kitchens
Custom cabinetry with marble-look quartz and porcelain waterfall islands, gas cooktops, wall and speed ovens, and panel-ready 42″ refrigeration. The detached home adds a separate prep kitchen.
Flooring
Wide-plank white oak hardwood through the living areas, with large-format marble- and stone-look porcelain in baths, foyers and basement suites.
Fireplaces
72″ linear gas fireplaces set into full-height stone feature walls. The detached residence adds further fireplaces, including one in the primary suite.
Bathrooms
Freestanding soaker tubs, frameless glass showers, floating walnut-tone vanities with vessel sinks, and floor-to-ceiling porcelain.
Lighting
Layered LED design — roughly 130+ integrated pot lights per detached home, plus designer chandeliers and pendants over islands, dining and stairwells.
Legal basement suites
Each home includes a self-contained, code-compliant rental unit: full kitchen, bathroom, in-suite laundry and private entrance.
Exterior
A modern composition of natural stone, smooth stucco and wood-look metal panel, with glass-and-wood balcony railings and double garages.
Mechanical
High-efficiency HVAC with HRV ventilation, and engineered structural and mechanical design coordinated across all five homes.
Each address, the same standard.
826 & 828 Alpine — semi-detached pair
Principal residence plus legal basement suite; white oak hardwood and custom kitchen; 72″ linear gas fireplace. Completed — occupancy permits issued.
830 Alpine — single detached
The largest home in the development: primary, main and prep kitchens; multiple gas fireplaces including the primary suite; legal basement suite.
838 & 840 Alpine — semi-detached pair
Principal residence plus legal basement suite; matching premium finish package; 72″ linear gas fireplace; double garage.
Alpine Avenue was conceived to bring genuinely contemporary, income-generating housing to an established Ottawa neighbourhood — homes that read as modern and architectural from the street, while delivering two complete households of living space behind each front door. Consistent detailing across all five creates one unified streetscape rather than five unrelated builds.
